Cotton

Cooler wash temperatures are better for your clothes and the environment.

It also maintains brightness and prevents colours from fading. Rinse thoroughly to remove detergent residue that can weaken fibers.

As well as being environmentally friendly, air drying helps to prevent static and reduce wrinkling.

Linen

Always hand wash or wash on a gentle machine cycle using a mild detergent.

Rinse linen thoroughly to remove any detergent residue. Linen is a natural fiber and its rumpled appearance is an accepted characteristic.

The more linen is washed and worn the more the garment softens adding to its authenticity.

Denim

Avoid washing denim too frequently and when washing, use cold water with a mild detergent to preserve the quality of the material.

Always air dry in the shade to preserve the colour.

Do not tumble dry as it can damage the colour and shape of your denim. It is also better for the environment.

Knitwear

Hand wash in cold water using a gentle detergent.

Avoid any rubbing, bleaching or soaking as this can cause pilling, damage your garment and affect its shape.

Don’t over wash your knitwear – it’s not necessary after every wear.

Gently squeeze out any excess water, do not wring or twist the garment as it will lose its shape.

Ease your garment back into shape whilst still damp and lie flat on a clean towel to dry.

Never put your knitwear in the dryer.
